Hi Tweets:
At Snoqualmie Falls, the Peregrine Falcon juvs (eyeasses), all four of them, are alive and well and very visible right now. The adults did two feedings while we were there for about an hour around noon, yesterday, Fri, May 25. The eyeasses are about 8" tall I think. Roger Orness think they will probably fledge in a week or week and a half.
Here are some hints about where the nest scrape is located: Standing on the uppermost (closest viewing area to the lodge), look across the river to the rock wall cliff. At the far right of the cliff, come down the edge til you get to the overhang, where it is undercut back about 8? feet. Following the elevation line of the undercut, go over to the left about 25 feet. You are now in some evergreen bushes. In that area, you may see the four white (for now) and black eyeasses. The female comes in to them and feeds them, and you may see her there too.
Warning: Big crowds there for the holidays. Yesterday it was warm there with blue skies. Wow!
Yours, Carol Schulz
