Hi Tweets,

Would love some thoughts on the rather forlorn male Robin singing non-stop in our backyard in Tacoma. He added a new twist today. He'd been singing his normal full voiced tweedle dee tweedle dum variety of call and began alternating a song that was half the volume and very 'thin'. However, the cadence was the same. The pitch and loudness feels the same as one of their flight calls. Could the bird just be using half a syrinx? He's been at this alternating song for at least 30 minutes. Always something new to learn, even in an urban backyard.

Good Birding. Marcus
