Concerning the whimbrel "thread", yesterday I went to Bowerman Basin to do a final count for the
refuge, mainly to see if any red knots were still around (did see them earlier in the week there). In
two hours before high tide the only shorebirds were a flock of 26 whimbrel.Clarice Clark
