Hi, Fellow birders. Late this afternoon a friend and I found one Pacific
Golden Plover at a pond at the intersection of C and 18, north of
Bridgeport. From Bridgeport go north on Bridgeport Hill Rd. (Rd. B).
Before (several miles before) reaching Hwy. #172 going east to Mansfield
there is one paved road going east, labeled Rd. 18. At the intersection
of C and 18 there is a dirt road con't. east and one going north. The
pond is obvious.

The bird was approx. 50 ft. away and it was in bright sunlight. The top
of the head was NOT all white, but the cap was brownish. The front of the
bird was all black, except for some white streaks on the flanks and under
the tail. Very beautiful golden spotted back. My friend got pictures,
but not with a digital camera. If you have any questions, feel free to
ask. Meredith Spencer, Bridgeport
