I have hardly seen any Violet-green Swallows this year. I have two nest boxes on both sides of my house. At this time of year I usually get groups of V-G Swallows flying around the house and checking out the nest boxes. This has happened only once this year. We have had a few warm, sunny days recently when there should be plenty of flying insects in the sky; in past years this usually has brought the swallows around prospecting for a home. But not this year. Has anyone else noticed a decline in Violet-green Swallows this year?
