Hi tweeters, I thought you would be interested to know that today at Volunteer Park in Seattle, I saw a fledgling Bewick's Wren begging and singing, many Wilson's Warblers and 3 Western Tanagers in a cedar grove in between the large building and the greenhouse! Also, the nestlings of the Chestnut-Backed Chickadees that were nesting in the wall of my brother's bedroom recently fledged! All three fledglings and both parents were on the suet feeder, with the babies peeping away and fluttering their wings. Recently, we have had many Chestnut-Backs and not many Black-Caps, however it was the other way around only about 1-2 years ago. Do you have any suggestions why this may be?
