On Wednesday, we had three PINE SISKINS mixed in with a flock of Juncos in
the yard.

Thursday's backyard bird watch yielded the usual gang
of Dark-eyed Juncos, their tag along SPOTTED TOWHEE, one WHITE-THROATED
SPARROW, one GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW, and this odd little guy
(photo link here: http://flic.kr/p/dpS2F3?), a
leucistic pied Dark-eyed Junco. This is the second day in a row he has
visited our yard. There are 3 photos from different angles.

Earlier in the afternoon, the SHARP-SHINNED HAWK unsuccessfully hunted
Juncos. Two RED-TAILED HAWKS soared over the house in a brief patch of
clear sky.
