Today I finally got myself out of the yard. Started before daylight at Tokeland and took some photos in the dark. When it lightened up, I realized one of the birds I was looking at was a Bar-tailed Godwit so I waited for a little more light and finally got something usable. No fault of the bird, it stayed right there while I moved around on the bridge looking for best light and location.

Next was Grayland where I got lots of exercise and little else.

At Westhaven SP in Westport, I took the wrong trail to the jetty but was rewarded with a Snow Bunting for the extra effort.

Finally arrived at location where Northern Wheatear was seen by everyone but me. But even though my glasses were wet and the lens kept falling out, I didn?t give up and was eventually able to get a usable photo.

By then I had to drag myself over to try for the eider but the only thing in was the tide.

I have put three photos on pbase;
