Hey Tweets,

Haven't gone birding at Coulon Park in Renton in some time, so I did a little walk down there this morning with my daughter. We stuck with the ducks and gulls... she loves the Mallards and Coots! Also had a nice chance to look at a Western Grebe, Horned Grebe, and Common Loon, all inside or right next to the walkway around the swimming area. She liked seeing the Double-crested Cormorant raising its wings (she imitated it later, hunching up her shoulders and holding her arms out ominously), and would always take me back to the Mallards if I was working too hard to show her the difference between Mew and Ring-billed Gulls. Duckies!

Buffleheads were back - off in the distance - and a Bald Eagle did a fly-over. More Western Grebes out farther from shore, and Yellow-rumped Warblers, Golden-crowned Kinglets and Anna's Hummingbirds near the playground.

Happy birding!
