Highlights from 79 species of birds at Juanita Bay Park today:

Snow Goose - 1, adult continues
Cackling Goose - 1, minima with an Aleutian-like neck pattern
Trumpeter Swan - 8
Whistling Tundra Swan - 2
Bewick's Tundra Swan - 1, continues from yesterday, spends nearly all it's
time in the north end of the bay. Views are best from the north end of the
causeway or from the dock at Juanita Beach Park.
Canvasback - 3
Ring-necked Duck - 160
Ruddy Duck - 1
Common Loon - 3
Bonaparte's Gull - 2, the latest I've seen here
Western Screech-Owl - 1, roosting bird in a cedar near the west end of the
gravel section of NE 108th St
American Pipit - 1, flyover
Audubon's Warbler - 3
Lincoln's Sparrow - 1
Swamp Sparrow - 1, first seen on the old beaver lodge which is on the east
side of the causeway about a third of the way up from the south end. Later
was seen right along the edge of the causeway at the south end.
White-throated Sparrow - 2+, south end of causeway
Purple Finch - 5, flew in to the end of the gravel road behind the fire
station
Red Crossbill - 1, Type 4 flew over heading north
Pine Siskin - 210+
