Hello. I was on UW campus yesterday and near the fountain along with maybe 100 smaller Canada Geese (probably cacklers), were an adult and 2 juvenile white-fronted geese. I'm used to seeing these birds well on their way to southern Oregon and California by now, so this was a pleasant surprise, especially with their tolerating my 20 foot binocularless close-up observation. In George, WA where I spend a lot of time in the fall and winter, I've also noticed large flocks enjoying their extended stay in freshly harvested cornfields, even as of this past Wednesday. Thanks.
