In addition to great views of ANCIENT MURRELET, there were plenty of COMMON
MURRES and MARBLED MURRELET.
But most intriguing was a lone, stocky plump-bellied murre that, with its
basic plumage (dark) head and neck suggested thick-billed. I now understand
the "white of the breast coming to a v". Sadly, it was a fly-by, and I
doubt that either my description or photographs would convince any sober
critic. I would welcome any comments, however.
The longspur was on the spit by the campground.
