Josh & Others:

It was great birding with you and Bob today. The hybrid geese may be some
sort of domestic x Canada Goose but I'm sure others may chime in. Just one
correction. . . . I was not the original finder of the 3 Crabs Tropical
Kingbird(s). I'm not quite sure who found them, perhaps Dave Jackson of
OPAS or some others, but again, I'm not certain. The Short-eared Owl at 3
Crabs was another highlight of our birding day as was the Virginia Rail at
Kai Tai Nature Lagoon in Port Townsend. The brief glimpses of the Ancient
Murrelets at Point Wilson were not sufficient for my tastes, so I'll hold
off counting them for the moment. Too bad we missed the Golden-Plover
species and Lapland Longspur at Flagler S.P. . . .
