This morning I birded the riverside riparian down river from Frenchman's Bar. There was good activity and the surprise was the number of Townsend's warblers. There were two forging flocks that provided most of the action. If you have not tried this area it is worth it.

Highlights

Townsend's warbler 11
yellow-rumped warbler 39
orange-crowned warbler 1
ruby-crowned kinglet 101
golden-crowned kinglet 11
varied thrush 39
Swainson's Thrush 1
