Michael Barry and I found a single adult Short-eared Owl foraging at 8:20 AM at Dungeness County Park this morning. It flew over the fields west of the large parking area near the entrance several times in the sunshine before disappearing among the large houses on the cliffs westward. Historically, this has been one of the more reliable locations to find the species on the Peninsula.
