This past weekend in Boundary Bay, BC at least a dozen snowy owls were seen far off at the waters edge using binocs. These were seen from the 72nd street entrance.
They were just barely visible with the naked eye. They did not seem to mind the hunters blasting ducks nearby.
The fields also had at least 3 pairs of Short-eared Owls, Peregrine Falcon, Rough-legged Hawks, Bald Eagles and Northern Harriers ... all very active.
