Hello Tweets,
I was finishing a surprisingly sunny evening birding Log Boom Park in
Kenmore when I saw Doug's email. I drove down to Fred Meyer, but by
the time I arrived shortly after 4pm the owl was nowhere to be found.
I was briefly sad until I realized that at this rate I'll be swerving
to avoid piles of Snowy Owls by the time I return from the
Thanksgiving holiday...
Log Boom Park had tons of ducks surprisingly close to the pier. All
Aythya diving ducks were present except for Tufted. I gave up counting
Canvasback, but there were at least a couple dozen, and Redhead,
Ring-Billed, and Greater and Lesser Scaup were all represented by
multiple individuals. There was also one very pure looking Western
Gull above the marina.
