Here is the turkey vulture report for October 2012 from Washington, Oregon and British Columbia:

01 ? 6 over Enumclaw, 2 near Lake Wilderness on Hwy.169; 1 between Bellingham and Burlington going south; 2 seen regularly over the Snoqualmie River near North
Bend; 4 over Kenmore
02 ? 4 southbound over Edmonds; 1 heading south over Westgate; 25-30 riding a thermal above the southern Auburn city limits; 1 over Cle Elum ridge w/possibly the
same bird later in the same day; 1 heading south from the Chelan Ridge Hawk Watch Station
03 ? 559 into Salt Creek (from the strait); 35 over Sturgeon Lake, Oregon + another 20-30 heading south in smaller groups
05 ? 3 circling over south Tokeland, 2 south of Hwy.8
09 ? 1 soaring along the Columbia near Wenatchee; 2 soaring over Blewett Pass near Liberty; 3 over Sauvie Island, Oregon
12 ? ?some? turkey vultures noted at Chelan Ridge; 1 between Oak Harbor and west Whidbey heading southwest; 3 from Green Ridge, Oregon
15 ? 10 rising from their Bear Creek staging site in Medford, Oregon; 1 soaring, then landing on a rocky outcrop north of Banks Lake
17 ? 1 at Point Roberts
28 ? five soaring near Fern Ridge, Oregon

Plus two late reports from past months:
30 August ? 1 circling south over west Rocky Prairie Wildlife Area (near Tenino)
26 September ? 1 from the same wildlife area
