After a foggy morning with some tough but kind of fun birding, I ended
up at Eide road this afternoon. Kind of quiet for shorebirds but the
raptors were out in fair numbers. One snowy owl was observed from the
end of the dike east across the bay in the general direction of Boe rd.
Not sure if it would have been visible from there since they took out
the dike at the TNC property.
Also saw the immature Shrike that seems to be hanging out there most days.
Several very nice looking rough legged hawks also in attendance this
afternoon.
A group of young duck hunters said they had kicked up two snowy owls at
Big Ditch yesterday. I didn't have the time to check it out.
