Did a walk around Gog-le-hi-te Wetlands in Tacoma this morning. I don't
usually get a chance to walk in the mornings but due to a minor foot
injury, I wasn't working today and I found the place very birdy compared
to the afternoons. The best bird was a NORTHERN SHRIKE that was really
upsetting a flock of Bush-tits. Probably commonplace elsewhere, but a
really good bird for the wetlands.

Around 2 this afternoon, I saw on the "Birding Washington State" website
that someone had reported a ROSS'S GOOSE in Chehalis so I made a dash down
there and got great views of the goose on Hamilton Road. Thank you to the
person who reported this bird. The bird was still feeding with Canada
Geese at 3:00.
