Hi Tweeters!

I am a fairly recent transplant to Portland. I am all unpacked and ready to start birding. I enjoy reading your posts and especially hearing about the Snowy Owls. I will be making a drive north to the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge to take a look for them. Is there any special information anyone can share about the refuge? Hours? Where to park, where to look? Anything is helpful as I have never been there. Also, are there any other places along the way between Portland and Tacoma that I should check out?

I moved from North Carolina, so all these birds are fairly new to me. I'm excited to see new, (to me), birds and hopefully meet some of you in the field. I have weekdays free if others have time to meet up for birding!
