There were no geese, Ross's or otherwise at Hamilton Rd in Centralia this morning. ?The swans at the pond behind the steam train at?Willapa?Park were Trumpeters, an adult and a?juvenile, swimming with assorted ducks and Canada Geese.
There were 4 Snowy Owls at Nisqually out beyond the outer observation point. ?They were scoped (barely) from Luer Beach Nature Center, very small but recognizable. There was an Adult Bald Eagle sitting very close to one of the owls which would have made a great picture but nobody has that long a lens. ? I'm very excited to report that one of the adult Bald Eagles has returned to the settling pond area at 3001 Hogum Bay Rd. I believe it was the male but I wasn't expecting to use it and had left the scope in the car. ?He was sitting at the very top of a few trees to the right of the nest tree. ?Hopefully we will be treated to another?successful?mating. ? ? ?
