Noteworthy, in that it was rainless though chilly, the trip to Neah Bay produced:

A look at the Orchard Oriole on the 14th feeding among the blackberries just west of the Veteran's Memorial. It was actually located and photographed by Sherry Hagan, who with her husband are working on a WA big year list- after an two hour plus vigil. I looked briefly for it at the same location two other days w/o success.

A very cooperative Swamp Sparrow, first seen by Ryan Merrill on the 15th at the among the partially-cut, roadside blackberries a hundred yards E of the Transfer Plant.

A Tropical Kingbird on the 16th at the Waatch River mouth (Hobuck Beach), which then moved southward for about a mile in an hour.

An adult Snowy Owl in the Waatch River valley just S of the bridge along the old Makaw Passage Rd. Look for a white lump in the grass!

Good birding,
