The wagtail showed up like clockwork at 8:30am and was easily viewed, sometimes very close, for the next hour, at least. This was in the s.w. corner of the grassy field where it is flooded nearest the lane barrier.

Seems quite healthy and energetic and is vocalizing quite a bit. We saw it 'catch' and consume a grub...

Directions: From Courtenay, BC, cross the bridge heading east out of town and turn right. Continue towards Comox approximately 500m to the second dirt track on the left. Park here along a fence separating you from a water treatment plant, and walk up the track towards the the steel cable blocking vehicle access (~100m). The bird is being seen past this barrier on the left.
