Sorry about the problems with the post. It seems tweeters doesn't like my smart phone post. Here is the post once again from my computer.

Take exit 77 or Hwy 6 exit and go west towards Pe Ell. After about 4-5 miles there will be a 76 station on the left side of the road, turn left here. This is Hwy 603. Go about a mile to the corners of 603 and Twin Oaks Rd. At the base of the hill. The bird has been seen in the field on the right side of the road. If you turn onto Twin Oaks Rd. and go about 1/2 mile there a couple turnouts. Park here and go up on the train tracks. They are abandoned except for the steam train during the summer. If you look towards the lake there were probably 100+ swans there today. I know there are Trumpeters in the flock. There may be some Tundras in the flock. I have seen both species at this location. Continue further down the road and you will come to Pleasant Valley Rd. about 2-3 miles from Hwy 603. Turn left onto Pleasant Valley Rd. and you will be able to look back at the birds on the lake from a different angle. The distances are long but the birds are identifiable.

The flock also contains a single SNOW GOOSE. If you pick through the flock for the ROSS' GOOSE you can probably find 4 species of geese in the flock. There are reports of a GWR GOOSE at the original location of the ROSS' GOOSE. If you work a little you can get a 5 goose day which is incredable for Lewis County.

If there are any questions feel free to call me at 701-371-4322. I am available to help find the bird tomorrow if anyone need the help.

Thanks, Roger! Our searching was limited to Hamilton Rd vicinity. I hope to try on Saturday. Are there Trumpeter Swans in along Twin Oaks or Pleasant Valley Rds? (Apparently messages from some smart phones don't "take" on Tweeters. Do you object if I forward your directions to Tweeters? Andy Stepniowski from Wapato was one of the searchers, and he'll probably be coming back thru Saturday or Sunday from Neah Bay and would try again if he had another location to check.)

Take hwy 6 towards PeEll. Turn left at the 76 station which starts hwy 603 towards the south. Go about a mile to just before the base of the hill. Twim Oaks Rd. the goose was in the farm field on the right or west side of the road. He was back near the
tree line this morning. 701.371.4322 if you need directions.

Roger,

Your post to tweeters was not intelligible. Please email me what/where you found on Thanksgiving Day. Four of us were not finding it anywhere in the vicinity that morning.

Thank you.
