Subject: [Tweeters] Barrow's Goldeneyes at Mukilteo

Yesterday I saw a flock of 55 Barrow's Goldeneyes at the Mukilteo ferry landing. I think this is the largest flock of that species I've ever seen. The great majority were female plumaged, probably a lot of juveniles as well as some mature females and just a couple of mature males. The best places to find this species always seems to be ferry landings, docks and other places with lots of pilings full of juicy mussels.
