Hi Tweets,

Bruce LaBar, Heather and I spent the morning near Orting looking for the Northern Waterthrush, without success. Nor did we locate any Swamp Sparrows. Did have a couple of nice mixed flocks and a Am. dipper on the river where the Foothills trail runs parallel, just south do 223rd.

Most impressive sighting was at Spooner Farms on Hwy 162 as you head south towards Orting. There were at least 1000 Cackling Geese working over the old pumpkin patch, along with a few Canada Geese, 6 Greater White-fronted Geese and 19 Trumpeter Swans.
