I located an adult mew gull below Wanapum Dam this morning. The bird was hanging out with a California gull, a couple of ring-billed gull and several herring gulls. Also of note in the area were:

--female red-breasted merganser below Wanapum Dam. Likely same bird as seen in last couple of weeks
--first winter Pacific loon in tailrace of Wanapum Dam. Also likely same continuing bird.
--two immature white-winged scoters above Wanapum Dam, also continuing birds.

Large flocks of scaup above Wanapum Dam, but no luck on picking out a tufted duck from their masses.

Stopped at Sorenson Pond in Ellensburg on the way home and the male white-winged scoter continues.
