A very good day for the west side of the lake particularly in the vicinity of the bathhouse theater.
In the area of the "Turtle logs"? and the water lilies there were 15-20 pied billed grebes and at least 2 adult male buffleheads.?
Common and Hooded Mergansers continue in numbers from the log area north.?
2 adult Bald Eagles were seen on the island.?
At the bend before the climb to Bathhouse Theater, a Green Heron was found in the cattails and perching on a low hanging branch.
Wigeons appeared in numbers (roughly 75 birds grazing) in the grassy area just south of the Bathhouse Theater.? Among the flock there was one Eurasian Wigeon.
In the grove just west of the bathhouse 60+ crows were calling and a few braver birds harassed a single Bald Eagle perched to their north..?
