Reports of migrating snow geese are coming from all over Puget Sound area.
The fly bys are on their way to southern Oregon or California more than
likely.

Yesterday, Oct. 1 I saw 85 cacklers flying down the Snohomish Valley toward
Monroe. I followed and they landed on Lake Tye. Also at the lake were 87
medium Canada geese, 18 white-fronted geese, 3 western grebe and 3 horned
grebe.

And the company who did the SEPA checklist for the applicant who wants to
build a cable wake board park at this lake says it is "incidental for
waterfowl". This lake is likely a great fall migration staging or at least
stop over place as it is the biggest pond in the area at this time of year.
Lots more birds are here as well.

Also found out that a western kingbird nested at this lake in May. Photos
were taken and it is really a nice sighting.
