Following is a combined report for August and September 2012 of turkey vulture sightings in Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia. Sorry for possibly losing
some of the reports but my email is consistently being problematic. Back reports are welcome any time!

August
02 ? 3 flying over Cougar Mountain; 10 near Tokeland among rocks
04 ? 4 eating a rabbit and 2 flying over near Belfair
09 ? 1 soaring over the Willamette River at Salem
22 ? 1 above Lake Joy
28 ? 1 circling near the Lowell-Snohomish River Road while 13 were on the ground looking for things (later that afternoon, they were replaced by 13 ravens!)
30 ? 1 over the Rocky Prairie Wildlife Area

September
02 ? 8 at Frenchmen?s Bar County Park; 2 over Lake Joy
05 ? 1 sailing north over Portland?s Kings Hill
09 ? some at Ridgefield NWR; 11-12 at Sprague where they gather every fall
10 ? 2 circling over Ridgefield NWR
13 ? 2 circling along the Satsop River below the Bingham Creek Hatchery; 12 feeding in a field near Shafer State Park
16 ? 1 near Centralia; 15 between the Sanich Penninsula and Nanaimo, B.C.
17 ? 1 between Ocean Shores/Ocean City; 1 over Hwy 109; 2 over downtown Aberdeen; 8 over Wynoochee River, Montesano; 5 over Satsop turnoff, Hwy 12; 1 at Kennedy
Creek, Hwy 8
18 ? 7 outside Everett over US2, 10 over fields near the Tualco Loop Road, 8 soaring/7roosting south of Duvall + a flock of up to 10 between Snoqualmie and North
Bend that are often seen.
19 ? 12 on the Skamania County Big Day; 2 at a time every day near Roy
25 ? 2 sitting in a dead tree and one hovering around the tree near Tenino; 55 passing over Seattle
26 ? 1 circling over the Rocky Prairie Wildlife Area
28 ? 3 near Woodland, Oregon; 2 over I-205 (Wash.side)
29 ? 200 heading towards the Willamette Valley over south Kalama; 75 drifting south over Wedgewood; seen all month on Orcas Island; 98+ over Seattle skirting the
east side of Lake Union; at least 50 in several groups heading south over North Seattle; 6 over the Nisqually Watershed Festival being harassed by a peregrine; a
kettle of 6 heading south over the Fill; 2 soaring high over Maplewood Heights; 1 over Bottle Beach with a patagial tag (a first for this report); 1 over
Portland; another over Portland; 5 from Baskett Slough NWR; 1 over Tokeland; 1 north of Bowerman Basin; 22 heading south over the UW football field
30 ? 4 heading south over Kenmore; 1 over Gardiner; 4 west of Sequim
