Tweeters,
?
This is a follow-up to Louise Rutter's earlier posting about the Wilson's Plover at Grayland Beach State Park.? Joe Buchanan and I viewed the bird from about 3:45 to 4:25 pm this afternoon a little while after Louise did.? When we departed, the plover was present on the outer beach between Trails 3?and 4.? We first located it along the rack line somewhat below the high tide mark, but it and the Snowy Plovers also?present gradually moved higher up until they were midway between high tide line and the dense vegetation at the back of the beach.? We counted at least 10 Snowy Plovers in the area near the Wilson's Plover.? Anyone looking for the Wilson's should focus their search in and around the Snowys.
