I think I remember seeing something, several months ago, that this coming winter will be colder and drier than usual; something to do with el Ninyo & la Ninya.

Hello Tweets,
I spent a cold, clear afternoon birding North Creek Park in Snohomish
County. I was happily surprised to find a juvenile NORTHERN SHRIKE
camped out in a willow tree near the boardwalk. Later on I had a flock
of 100+ PINE SISKINS fly over. To complete the illusion that it was
December, Juncos and Towhees seemed to call from every thick patch of
brush. Hard to believe it was 75 degrees this last weekend.
