When I was looking for durable, easy on-easy off knee highs, a number of people recommended the favorite of the Alaska fishing industry,Xtra Tuf. I got a pair and they haven?t been quite as tough as I expected based on the over-the-top recommendations. However, they are easy to put on and take off and they are light weight and comfortable. So, I recommend them, despite the fact that mine have Shoe Goo repairs in a couple of spots.

Tweeters, I?m finally ready to buy some good knee-high rubber boots for the winter birding season ahead, that is if it ever starts to rain! Probably best to email me offline if you have an opinion about which boots are best and where to buy them. My current plan is just to head to Cabela?s and try a bunch on, but I thought I?d check in with all of you experts as well. Thanks, Mary Bond, Seattle. Zuckerbond at Comcast dot net
