As a FYI,

Neo overshoes are more expensive than your traditional "gum boots", but we have been very happy with our Neos. I was very much surprised to find that a similar item could not be found at REI. These are rubber boots that one fits over one's shoes, hence the name...overshoes! They are more comfortable to walk in for distances and provide better insulation. Also great for snow and wet landings from canoes, zodiacs, row boats, etc.
