Hi All,

I made a mid-day trip to Point no Point and had a few interesting Kitsap
County birds. Amongst the flock of 130 Black-bellied Plovers near
Norwegian Point (adjacent to Hansville store) was a lone AMERICAN
GOLDEN-PLOVER. I was hoping for a Pacific as I have yet to record that
species in Kitsap County, but oh well. I believe this makes about the
third Kitsap record of American Golden-Plover. A bit later at the light
house I had a migrant ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK fly over and then five minutes
later another flew over. Rough-legged Hawks are less than annual in
Kitsap County. A bit later a Northern Harrier stopped in the marsh area.
A TOWNSEND SOLITAIRE was also interesting as it is definitely more
unusual as a fall migrant. A good number of Bonaparte's Gulls (375+)
were off the point and I did see one immature Parasitic Jaeger.

Cheers and good birding,
