Today, 10/05/2012, David Gatchet and I went out searching for Mountain Quail in Kitsap Co. No love with the quail but at Point No Point, we had a total of three Parasitic Jaegers. Not sure if they were the same bird or not because we saw them at different times. At Foulweather Bluffs (Nature Conservancy), two miles northwest of Hansville on the Kitsap Peninsula, we had all three scoters including 6 American (Black) Scoters plus all of the "usual" alcids, loons, gulls, grebes, etc. At Norwegian Point Park, not far from the Point No Point Lighthouse, we saw a banded Double-crested Cormorant with a red band on the left leg with alphanumeric "HT3" and a shiny metal band on the right leg. Does anyone know who banded this bird and where it was banded?
