I had a large flock of varied thrushes in my yard for two mornings in a row
- but hesitated to mention it because it just seemed impossibly early.
However, it would be hard to mistake the call for anything else. Glad to
hear someone else has seen one :)

Subject: [Tweeters] First Varied Thrush / Caryn Wedwood

Good morning Tweeters -

This morning in our backyard we saw our first beautiful Varied Thrush of the
season. It seemed so early this year. Usually don't see them until the
temperatures have fallen.

Could this be related to the fires or just getting ahead in their travels?

Have also seen a Hermit Thrush.

Caryn / Wedgwood
