Hey tweeters,
I went up to mt baker early yesterday up onto table mt in search of
ptarmigan. The birds were sparse, fly over pipits and one gray crowned rosy
finch. No ptarmigan but iI did come across 4 mountain bluebirds up on top.
Saturday Fanter, my dad and I birded the blaine area. Lots of pintails and
green winged teal out in the harbor, a northern shrike at the marine park
and at the end of marine drive looking across the bay there was a clark's
grebe mixed with a dozen western and 4 red necked grebes.
Good birding,
Ken Lane
