Hello all,
Another beautiful day for our walk - but its getting so dry the leaves are shriveling up - we need rain! Our surprise today was up the east side of the canal - photos at http://www.flickr.com/photos/m-ml_wallawalla/

1 Greater Yellowlegs in with Killdeer, 3 Buffleheads, lots of Wcrowns and Yrumps - and 6 Mountain Chickadees -

Mike and I spent time at the WWRdelta Sunday and Monday - 4 Bonaparte's and 1 Franklin's Gull - shorebirds yesterday included 1 Dunlin, 1 Spotted, 2 Least and 4 Western Sandpipers, lots of Long-billed Dowitchers and Killdeer.
Our yard is still hosting 200+ Pine Siskins (50 lbs. of thistle seed in 3 weeks!), 3 Evening Grosbeaks, 5 Mountain Chickadees and several Red-breasted Nuthatches - and flyover crossbills -
