The morning was not nearly as cold as a few days ago, but was mostly
overcast and seemed a little quiet. But, things picked up as the day went
on.

Lots of sparrows including many Savannah and Fox, and a couple of
Lincoln's. Many Yellow-rumped Warblers (all Audubon's) all over the park,
and a Townsend's Warbler was in the company of a large flock of
Chestnut-backed Chickadees on Promontory Point. Several large flocks of
Golden-crowned Kinglets now as well.

Still not much in the way of ducks, with just a single Northern Shoveler, a
single Northern Pintail, though there were a couple dozen Green-winged
Teal. Mew Gulls have come in large numbers now, maybe 40 or 50 birds. On
the platform, besides the Mews, were a dozen each California and
Ring-billed, and a FOS Herring Gull.

A pair of Horned Grebes were just off the swim beach and a few Western
Grebe (FOS) were out in the lake. The other notable was a pair of Wilson's
Snipe (FOS) foraging out in the open, up to their knees, in the Entrance
Pond. '

For the day, 49 species.
