They have been found in Clark County during the winter at places like the Ridgefield NWR. There are nesting records from Silver Star Mountain on the Clark-Skamania County border.

Outside the San Juan Islands, are there sightings of Golden Eagles in
Western WA? Saw what seemed like a oversized eagle today, and it did not
have the usual white tail and head, underside was dark with just a few
flecks of white.
