Hi Tweets, For the last several days there have been at least six Western Grebes observed at the Fill and Magnuson Part in North Seattle. At the Fill they can be seen up close and personal at the Conibear Shell House off Canal Road. They have been seen fishing very close to the small finger piers. At Magnuson Park they are fishing right off the sea (lake) wall at the north shore boat rental area. If you would like to see the photos they are located at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/birdhouse_wa/8072898184/in/photostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/birdhouse_wa/8072892587/in/photostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/birdhouse_wa/8072892715/in/photostream In addition, I have started to uploaded some of my summer outing photos. I got behind because I would rather be out watching birds than sitting at my computer processing pictures. The first two series are of Northern Flicker nestlings, and Eastern Kingbird nestlings. I very much enjoyed watching the feeding and fledging process. The last series is a selection of my July outings, which includes Pied-billed Grebe nestlings and the Black Phoebe seen at Magnuson Park. This series is best viewed as a slide show. http://www.flickr.com/photos/birdhouse_wa/sets/72157631701997745/ Sorry to load up so much in a single email. Hope you enjoy and Good Birding!!
