Spent yesterday cruising around Kittitas county. Best bird (most unexpected) of the day was a first winter Thayer's gull below Wanapum Dam. Also had a response and flyover from a Boreal Owl in the early evening at Colockum Pass. Two Saw-whet Owls also gave responses in the meadows at Colockum Pass. Additional notable birds were a juvenile Pacific Loon viewed mid river from the Vantage Boat Launch and a Anna's Hummingbird at Stampede Pass.
