went birding with Liz Donadio and Calliope yesterday.
found a couple of Pectoral Sandpipers at Lake Farm Pond east of Fairview
School, lurking around
in some mud near the west end of the pond, north side. usually a good spot
for viewing
snipe but couldn't find them yesterday. 3 Lincoln's Sparrows popped outta
the spirea for us as well.
good duck diversity including a pair of Wood Ducks working the lily pads.

up to Blue Mt. next, parking at the upper lot just below the summit. A few
pipits and larks
heard/seen in the area and 2 Shrikes out on the NW arm of the mt., about a
half mile from the parking lot.
on the drive down we ran into a cloud of Mt. Bluebirds, about 12 or so
right on the road, between Deer Park Campground and the upper parking
lot. always wondered why it was called Blue Mountain...
