Hi,
I experienced a satisfying shorebird trifecta during a brief visit to
the Westport area today, Oct 10.
Bottle Beach featured a Ruff in a noteworthy flock of about 40 Red
Knot, 320 Black-bellied Plovers, 530 Marbled Godwits and many hundreds
of Western and Least Sandpipers with a smattering of Dunlin,
Sanderling and Dowitchers.
The Wilson's Plover performed admirably with 14+ Snowy Plovers (many
banded but too far to read) at Grayland SP Beach.
Two Bar-tailed Godwits stood their ground among 185 Marbled Godwits
and 9 Willets at Tokeland.
