Pretty slow mid-afternoon walk around Discovery Park today, as far as bird activity. I was actually moving fast because I didn't layer well enough. I was hoping to see a Northern Shrike given the change in weather and some recent reports. I was not disappointed, as I was alerted by some robins to a Northern Shrike just north of bird alley where the Lewis's Woodpeckers had been seen. It was hawking on some young doug firs before moving to perch on the fence in the area.
