Dear Tweeters,
?
Today (14 October 2012)?on the Butler Flats, a flock of Canada and a few Cackling Geese also included a bird that I have dubbed "Whitey." This domesticated white goose has been showing up in Skagit County since March of 2006, always with Canada Geese. I have seen the bird a total of 20 times now, mostly in September and October, but also a few times each in February, March, August, and November. It has shown up in various places, from coastal spots to as far upriver as Hamilton. Almost all of the sightings have occurred in what could be called migration season.
?
I? wonder what tales this bird would have to tell!
?
Yours truly,
?Gary Bletsch
