I was helping out on tour busses at Birdfest on the "S" Unit at Ridgefield NWR on Sunday Oct 14.

At about 4:30PM, there was a juvenile Rough-legged Hawk hovering and swoping on prey. It was E of Rest Lake and E of Shwartz Lake in that field. We saw it hunting, hovering, and on the ground over several minutes.
