Cornell Lab of Ornithology is looking for a photo of an American Robin as follows:

Message to all crackerjack bird photographers on Facebook: Do you have a great photo of an American Robin? The Cornell Lab needs one for a publication about our capital campaign. We can provide photo credit and a modest fee for the right photo?please continue reading for details of the offer:

The ideal photo will need to be large: at least 5000 pixels wide by 3300 pixels tall. You must be the photographer?please do not send us pictures that you have not taken. The photo should be sharply focused and well composed, showing an adult American Robin in spring vegetation such as shrubs or trees (not on a lawn)?ideally taken in British Columbia or a similar northern landscape. The bird should be slightly left or right of center, and be centered in the middle vertical third of the image.

To have your photo considered, please send a low-resolution version of your photo(s) by October 19 to our design director, Diane, at dianeth at cornell.edu. If we choose your photo we will notify you by email as soon as possible. We will not use any of the submitted photos without first contacting you for your permission.

Please remember to send only photos that you have taken and that meet the criteria outlined above. Thank you for helping us find a great robin photo!
